Sunday

Prayer thought: Thank God for Worship. That He has made himself
known to us. That we have the freedom to come into his presence. That he
calls us to be His own. He wants us to know him. He made us to know him.
Thank God that we are precious to him. He created us to be like Christ.
Thank God for the gift of faith. For His Spirit's presence within. For His Word
of life. For the fellowship we share as part of his body the Church.
Psalm 100v3 : "we are his people we are his flock".
Monday

Prayer thought: Praise God for Life. His gracious gift to us. For its variety
and wonder. That we are wonderfully made. Unique and special to Him.
Praise God for all his goodness to us. That His will is to bless us. That He
wants us to know abundant life. To know that fulness of life which comes
through faith in Him. Praise God for sight, hearing, touch and taste. For the
world we live in. For hills and seas, for rivers and trees. For all living creatures,
for plants and flowers. For all that gives us reason to praise God.
Psalm 104v33: " I will sing to the Lord all my life
as long as I live I will sing praises to my God."
Tuesday

Prayer thought: Glorify God for Blessings. For His love and faithfulness to
us. That He is truly worthy of our adoration. That we should give Him all the
honour and praise that is due His name. That we should acknowledge Him as
our Lord and God. That we should give him first place in our lives and in our
thoughts. That we should put our trust in Him day by day. Trusting Him to
provide. Trusting Him to protect. Trusting Him to prosper our lives both
spiritually and physically. Count your blessings, count them one by one. Count
your many blessings and see just what the Lord has done. Give glory to God for
He is good. Lean on Him and live for Him.
Psalm 115v12: "The Lord remembers us and will bless us"
Wednesday

Prayer thought: Seek God's mercy and forgiveness. Ponder His great
goodness, his purity, his love. Recognise your failings, your longing to
be more like Christ. Bow before him. Confess your wrongdoing and wrong
being. Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Be contrite for your sins. Repent. Seek His
help and strength to change your ways. To turn from wrong and do good. To
live a life that is truly worthy of His name. Don't dwell upon your sin, rather
dwell upon God's mercy, his readiness to forgive His desire to cleanse and
restore us, to make us more like Jesus. Open your life to the working of His
Holy Spirit within. Be renewed. Be remade. Let His life rule in your heart.
Psalm 51v10: " Create a pure heart in me, O God, and put a new
and loyal spirit in me."
Thursday

Prayer thought: Thirst for God. Long to know God. Take and make time
to be holy. Practise the presence of God. Recognise His greatness, His majesty. Tell Him
your thoughts, your hopes, your longings. Seek his help and his counsel. Ask
God to open up his Word to you. Listen. Learn and Live. Seek His will in all
things. Come into his presence with thanksgiving. Bring before His throne of grace your cares
and your woes. Acknowledge Him as your Father and as your Friend. Remember
his goodness and seek to walk in His ways. Dwell in his presence and live
knowing His Spirit's dwelling and leading within. Walk in the Spirit. Be filled and
be fruitful. Ask and receive. Seek and find what is God's will for your life.
Psalm 63v1: " O God, you are my God, and I long for you.
My whole being desires you; like a dry, worn out, and waterless land, my soul is thirsty for you."
Friday

Prayer thought: God is with us. Always ready to help. He wants to know
our concerns and our burdens. Bring to him your prayers. The needs that he has
laid upon your heart. Interceed for the world, our land, your family, your friends,
your neighbours, the Church, those who rule over us, God's work in our days etc. Pray for
the young and the elderly, the sick and the sorrowing, the rich and the poor.
Be specific. Be bold. Be expectant. Believe. Agree with God. Accept that God
knows best. Trust God to act in accordance with His purposes. Move with God
and see God move. But we warned God may move you too!
Psalm 20v10,11: " You are mighty and do wonderful things; you alone are God.
Teach me what you want me to do..."
Saturday

Prayer thought: God is our salvation. God alone can meet our every need.
Ask him to be your guide and your protector. Put on the whole armour of God.
His grace is sufficient. Seek his truth, his comfort, his equipping of your life. Ask
God to give you assurance of salvation. To give you the gifts you need to serve
Him. To impart the power of the Risen Christ into your life. To annoint His Church
that it may show and make known the Good News of the Gospel in Word and
deed such that many others will be drawn to put their faith in the Risen Christ and
come to rejoice in Him and marvel in His goodness.
Psalm 27v1,v4: The Lord is my light and my salvation."
" I have asked the Lord for one thing; one thing only do I want: to live in the
Lord's house all my life, to marvel there at his goodness, and ask him for his
guidance."
